This is a great way to get into the super-hi-res game without breaking the bank. It's lightweight, has all the functions you need, including 3 types of optical stabilization for smooth shooting on the move or in a documentary environment.
This is a great camera for the person just getting into 4K, who wants to acquire and edit 4K footage. It does have a built-in viewfinder, so you don't have to rely on the 3" screen to frame your shots. And there is a manual focus ring if you're planning on experimenting or rack-focusing.
Is this the best 4K on the market? No, but to achieve that add thousands of dollars to your budget. But it is excellent 4K (with an excellent lens), with options for lesser resolutions shooting, and 4K allows you many editing tricks if you're mastering for normal HD. Naturally consider a good tripod, but handheld it offers enough stabilization to give you a steadicam look. And shooting in 4K future-proofs your work.
